The Applied Economics Association (AEA) is an independent, not-for-profit organization based in Uganda. The association was established in 2023 as an arm to foster the role of Economists in Uganda’s growth and development. AEA’s mission is to contribute to national growth and development through research and policy advocacy, training, and public discourse while seeking to advance economic theory for societal impact across Africa and the world.
